From the beginning of the COVID pandemic, there were various people from the Trump side and middle clamoring for the experts, government and media to examine the potential for the virus to have escaped from the lab in Wuhan. Those championing the need to examine this possibilities were derided by the media, Democratic politicians as well as the experts in the establishment as being crazy, anti-science, conspiracy theorists, etc. Fast forward a year and a Trump loss in the election and suddenly the experts, the media, and Democrats are suggesting it is “possible” that the lab leak “theory” is actually what happened.
Today, I see another of the many articles suddenly appearing in the media about this. One by Thomas Frank at Yahoo News https://news.yahoo.com/wuhan-lab-leak-hypothesis-true-102749505.html really caught my eye. As I read it, it really conveyed what most conservatives and libertarians have been saying about the media, the experts, and government. Mr. Franks own writing gets to the heart of the problems facing the liberals and the worldviews: the lack of critical thinking by the media and the left, their inability to believe that Trump might be right, Trump isn’t as stupid as they all believe, socialist/communist governments never lie, and experts would never hide facts that might be inconvenient for them.
With respect to COVID and Wuhan, there was ample data to suggest the lab leak as a cause of the virus rather than it hopping from animal to human and a deep dive of the facts was warranted. However, just like the Russia hoax perpetrated by Hillary and her shills within the media and government, the liberals were too blind in their faith of “experts”, government, “intelligence” officials, etc. to see the data, especially if Trump was saying it. Once again, it looks like Trump will prevail on the matter.
