Why don’t all of you liberals stay put instead of moving to Red states and screwing them up? Too bad there can’t be a tax on liberals to make them pay for the misery they put upon everyone by their policies.

CPI
In reviewing my prior post, many low information Americans will point out that the CPI hasn’t risen that much so inflation isn’t as bad as my post infers.
Our government provides a CPI (consumer price index) that purports to prove inflation isn’t that bad. However, one simply needs to look at the things not included to understand the misleading nature. What’s not included? Well, food and energy. Why are they excluded?
The thinking is that these items are volatile and would result in wild swings in this index leading policymakers to make decisions based upon the short-term spike in the index. Further, the commodities underlying food and energy are included in the prices of items in the index so they will appear over time in the index’s value.
This is why the people often feel the index is out of touch with the reality they are experiencing at the pump and grocery store.
Cyprus vs. the Fed
The people of Cyprus have been shown the thief that is a central government. When the power within a country is centralized, there is really nothing the people can do if the government goes rogue on them. This was one of the reasons the United States was set up as a democratic republic with federal government’s powers “clearly” defined and the balance of the power was left to the people and the states.
Enter the progressive era of the last 120 years. This has led to the consolidation of political and economic power into the hands of the few in Washington. As has been shown by Obamacare, they do and will rule against the will of the people. The stacking of the courts with liberals and progressives has led directly to a reduction of the people and the state’s power.
Now Cyprus. Can that happen in the United States? Well, many of us believe it already has started but in a less obvious manner to the United States’ low information citizenry. Thomas Sowell’s article in National Review put it very nicely:
“When the federal government spends far beyond the tax revenues it has, it gets the extra money by selling bonds. The Federal Reserve has become the biggest buyer of these bonds, since it costs them nothing to create more money.
“This new money buys just as much as the money you sacrificed to save for years. More money in circulation, without a corresponding increase in output, means rising prices. Although the numbers in your bank book may remain the same, part of the purchasing power of your money is transferred to the government. Is that really different from what Cyprus has done?”
As Sowell points out, our government is nefariously doing the same thing the Cyprus government is. Our federal government relies on the low information majority to allow it to keep up the Ponzi scheme they have created.
It will implode at some point. The questions are: when and what then?
What’s Wrong with Society Today
“People have blind faith in their politics and doubt their church.”
Rush Limbaugh 3/14/13
Marx didn’t want any religion other than the state, and this is where the Democrats are pushing us. They view the Catholic Church and other religions as competition that must be eliminated.
We have this 180 degrees in reverse to what our founders believed.
WA Post: Where’s the Correction/Apology?
Adam Kredo has an article at the Washington Free Beacon reporting that it was a Hamas rocket killed the son of a Gaza-based BBC reporter, not an Israeli airstrike as originally reported. The original report was carried by the WA Post.’
We will see a prominent correction to the story? You know the answer as well as I do.
Lindsay Graham/John McCain, You’re Offensive Idiots
The The Washington Examiner has an article on the Rand Paul’s filibuster and the response by the old GOP guard on the matter. The article provides that “Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., criticized Paul for posing the question. “I find the question offensive,” he said on the Senate floor this morning.”
Well Senator Graham, we, the GOP, find you offensive, and your seat is on our Tea Party radar.
