The Upcoming Uncivil War

If this continues, we the people will fight back against the oppression being hoisted upon us by the media, the Democrats and antifa. Then, what will they call us? Afteralll, they call us racists, racists, etc. when it is they who don’t allow free speech, can’t take criticism, etc.

Comments on the passing scene

Trump was in the UK this past week. By most accounts, he had a good trip. Even the UK media, no friends of Trump or the U.S., ended with some positive comments on the trip. The U.S. legacy media, not so much.

Andrew Klavan has a great article at the Daily wire exposing the political left’s posing while all hell breaks loose in the cities, states and countries they control. https://www.dailywire.com/news/48152/klavan-leftists-virtue-pose-while-their-cities-die-andrew-klavan “More and more, the left is spouting a rhetoric of high, moral-sounding fantasies to distract from the ruinous havoc their policies wreak on the real world” he writes. Hard to argue when you look at what is happening around the world. He ends his piece perfectly:

“The left spends an awful lot of energy trying to get conservatives to shut up. Political correctness, deplatforming, demonetizing, blacklisting, outrage mobs, boycotts — all dedicated to making sure that they alone get to do the talking.

But you know what? The right doesn’t even need words to make the point anymore. Just go to the Democrat-governed cities. Look out the window. Walk the streets.”

The Deep State vs. Us

What we have witnessed since Trump’s election in late 2016, is an attempted destruction of our republic. Outrageous right? Well, when you look through the details of exactly how the Deep State attempted to accomplish its goal of eliminating Trump, it becomes very clear there was no consideration of the impact this would have on the republic. With the advent of social media, the lies and misreprestations leaked to the legacy media outlets, spread like fires through a dry forest pitting citizens against citizens.

Glenn Reynolds (a/k/a Instapundit) recently published a book  “The Social Media Upheaval” in which he outlines how devastating impact such organizations have on society.  As he points out , part of the problem with the social media organizations is their monopoly often allows them to “selectively silence some those voices and amplify others.” While we all expect the truth to win out most of the time, a truth never heard cannot supplant a lie told and rebroadcasted a million times on social media.
