Rush and Levin Were Right…..Again and so was Nunes

When it comes to accuracy of forward looking politics, the Democrat media (“legacy media”) cannot hold a candle to Rush or Levin. Back in 2017, both of these conservative commentators told their audiences what was happening. They used the legacy media’s own reporting to lay out the timeline and made certain other inferences from the leaks reported by the legacy media.

In February 2018, Devin Nunes released a four-page memo outlining what he said were abuses committed by members of the FBI in securing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant against onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Nunes was pilloried for this memo by the legacy media, the purveyros of the leaks to the legacy media as well as Democrat members of the House and Senate.

Contrast this with the legacy media’s own commentary and opinions as well as their attacks of Rush, Levin and Nues’ opinions on the facts. The legacy media provided the purveyors of the leaks ample opportunities to lie to the legacy media’s customers. The legacy media’s commentators also demeaned Rush, Levin and Nunes for lying and other things.

Well, now we have the IG report, and basically, everything Rush, Levin and Nunes said has been borne out by factual findings contained in the IG report. The findings certainly make it look like the CIA, NSA, FBI and FISA court have been used as political weapons by the Democrats. I see no real way to install the American people with confidence that these units are not aligned against the people and in support of an over bearing bureaucracy. Therefore, these units should be shut and Congress take action to restore confidence in the government.

Red Flag Laws

Is there anything more anti-USA than red flag laws? Our US Constitution’s Bill of Rights specifically prohibits this type of law. As Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com provides in his article:

Judge Andrew Napolitano, has phrased it thusly:

… Red flag laws are unconstitutional. The presumption of innocence and the due process requirement of demonstrable fault as a precondition to any punishment or sanction together prohibit the loss of liberty on the basis of what might happen in the future.

In America, we do not punish a person or deprive anyone of liberty on the basis of a fear of what the person might do.

…The government can no more interfere with Second Amendment rights than it can infringe upon any other rights. If this were not so, then no liberty — speech, press, religion, association, self-defense, privacy, travel, property ownership — would be safe from the reach of a fearful majority.

That’s why we have a Constitution.

Mass Shootings and the Gun Grab

You know it is going to happen every time there is a mass shooting (other than gang related mass shootings which you never hear about from the legacy media). The anti-2nd Amendment crowd (usually Democrats) say we must pass new gun laws to stop this. Well, here is a fact: you will never be able to stop this.

Ella Wilcox’ quote: “There is no chance, no destiney, no fate, that can circumvent hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul.” I first heard that quote at a time management seminar in 1987, and it has stuck with me ever since.

Is new gun control legislation going to change the situation? No. Why do you say that? Because nothing will stop someone determined to do such a terrible act. Look at all of the data available on these situations and you find common themes:

  1. They are likely to occur in a gun free zone.
  2. The perp usually stops upon encountering any resistance.

However, if your a politician or a liberal, never let facts get in the way., or as Rahm Emanuel would say, you should never let a good crisis go to waste. Here, the immediate reaction is to enact legislation that limit the freedom of the law abiding. Is that going to help reduce/stop this? No.

Next, we’re told that it is the invective speech of the president that is causing this type of reaction. Really? So, what about the hateful, bigoted and racist words spewed through the mouths of Democrats? Or, how about the horrible lyrics in today’s music, the isolating effects of social media, or the violence perpetrated in video games and virtual reality simulators? Well, since they are all leftist or left-leaning industries, they can’t be the cause of any of this.

You can’t have it both ways. If spoken words are in fact what is causing this, what does additional gun control legislation do for that? Nothing, but you see, that is really not the point of this. The point of this is to disarm the citizenry. That is the ultimate objective here, and the one thing we have learned, is that the leftist never stop pushing towards their goal.

Trump the Twitter Strategist

The one thing I have learned about the Trump presidency is that he appears to really understand human nature. He anticipates reactions, uses incorrect statements to drive people to examine and expose something they really didn’t want known, and remarkably, gets it right most of the time.

The latest dust up with the Congressional Squad (as Rush Limbaugh refers to the four congresswomen as) is a prime example. While there are many conservatives who think he got this wrong, including such stalwarts as Ed Driscall and John Hinderaker of Powerlineblog.com, I think he got it completely right.

First, he is forcing the Democrat party to circle their wagons around the Squad and their far left views and ideas. With their very low approval ratings, this further pushes the Democrats to the left where they are now being defined by these people.

Second, he knowingly (I believe) says/implies they are all from other countries and should go back to them if they don’t like it here. Those comments will cause the leftist “fact checkers” and other non-politicals to check it and see. What they will find as they search for these things is the Squad being behind foreign locations/countries (Palestine is not a country but merely a made up location in Israel). I believe this will further alienate the voters from these progressives.

I must admit. I was afraid of a Trump presidency, Trump tweets, etc., but as I have stood back and watched, it seems to be going according to his strategy.

The Upcoming Uncivil War

If this continues, we the people will fight back against the oppression being hoisted upon us by the media, the Democrats and antifa. Then, what will they call us? Afteralll, they call us racists, racists, etc. when it is they who don’t allow free speech, can’t take criticism, etc.

First Step Towards Federal Police

The story of the Alaskan Raid shows the federal government is preparing for something. Why would so many federal agencies need armed police?

Clearly, the federal government is up to something nefarious, perhaps many of the crazies are correct. The establishment of a federal police force is now well on its way. One only wonders when they will unleash it on us.

Oh My, The Government is Shutdown This Weekend

The House has proposed a continuing resolution that defunds Obamacare, but it doesn’t call for the shutdown of the federal government.

Truth be told, the federal government never shuts down. Even in 1995, the last time our federal government was “shutdown”, the checks were still cut for welfare, unemployment, Social Security, etc. Did anything bad really happen as a result of the shutdown?

The answer is no, and it even led to the eventual budgets where receipts exceeded disbursements in the late 1990s. The only problem was the media blamed the Republicans, and the establishment Republicans thought they lost an election over it.

True, the Republicans did lose some seats in 1996, but so what?

Time to push the Republicans to do whatever it takes to get rid of Obamacare. This is not the fundamental change in America we need.

Levin’s Liberty Amendments

I’m reading Levin’s great book The Liberty Amendments: Restoring The American Republic and came across a quote from Montesquieu that reads:

When legislative power is united with executive power in a single person or in a simple body of magistracy, there is no liberty because one can fear that the same monarch or senate that makes tyrannical laws will execute them tyrannically.

This goes to the heart of the argument against the administrative state we have become. The philosophers read by our founders knew it and so should we. It is the people and the state’s abdication of their responsibilities implied by our Constitution that has led us here. Chapter 6 of Mark’s book has his proposal for reversing this.

I whole-heartedly endorse this provision.
