No truer words have been said by Mr. Will. Put your faith in you neighbor, not in the unseen government. Your neighbor’s reality is much closer to yours. Also, DC only cares about itself and enriching those who are part of the big government machine.

Is the GOP Establishment in on the Game?

With the Speaker’s actions over the last week on the budget deal, it certainly makes one question whether we have 2 political parties. The Speaker apparently lied to the conservative members of his party in order to get them to pass the rule which led to the passage of the omnibus spending bill. Seems to me that the Speaker is on the opposing party’s team. Maybe the new crop of Republicans will have the stones to fire the Speaker. He certainly doesn’t lead.

Do elections resulting in Republicans winning no longer matter? If so, how do we change the government?

Barbara Walters – Her Prejudice Shines Through

@BarbaraJWalters The Media Research Center just posted a blurb from her interview with David Koch. “You’re not well liked” she says to him. Hey Barbara, maybe people don’t care what people like you inside the beltway types think. Afterall, its’s your policies and candidates that are sinking this country into chaos. You’re the ones who wanted fundamental change and we’re headed to becoming the world’s laughingstock as a result.

Citizen’s complaining but Politicians not Changing After Being Elected

The crux of today’s politics is: How do we change DC when the people we put in DC don’t want it to change?

Mark Levin presents one way in which change can be accomplished in his excellent work The Liberty Amendments. With Republicans controlling many state legislatures, perhaps this will happen. If not, then we’re ripe for the continued takeover of our government by authoritarian federal goverment.
History tells us that people tend to allow authoritarians to take over so that things stabilize. Is that where we are now?
