The total impact of the virus on the commercial real estate landscape isn’t known. However, between the work from home movement, home school movement, and realization that urbanization isn’t the end all be all, we might see a significant number of prime properties hit the market at bargain basement prices. Unlike prior real estate crashes, this one might end differently.

I could not believe it when I saw a post on one of my favorite social media sites. The post stated there was an editorial in the LA Times titled “Editorial: The electoral college is a blot on democracy. The Supreme Court shouldn’t make it worse”. I figured it had to be click bait, but I clicked anyway.

It is not that I value the editorial board’s opinions, but I certainly thought they were well schooled in the precepts of the Constitution. Boy was I wrong.

I know many think we were founded to be a democracy, but our founders loathed a democracy. In a democracy, the majority rules and to hell with the minority.

In the US, the majority that rules are the states as well as the people. I realize the progressives have wanted to get rid of states and make us one big country. Once they accomplish this goal you can be assured the U.S. will no longer be the country is has been or was intended to be. We will quickly devolve into a banana republic….If we haven’t already.

No matter what happens with the upcoming lockdowns of various states, a couple of things you can be sure of. First, the virus will never be as bad as those models say. Why? Because they aren’t very well thought out and the assumptions (variables) rarely match reality. The guy in the UK’s model that is being accepted by everyone hasn’t been reviewed critically. Until that happens, his model is no better than Joe the Plummer’s.

Second, the people doing the modeling are the same people who believe in global warming and designed those models. While they arrive at a conclusion, they have fixed variables that do not resemble life or reality.

Long and short of it, my prediction is that the Wuhan Flu will end up with the same level of death as the H1N1 from ten years ago. Not much was made about it, and perhaps a lot should have. But, there is no reason to shutdown everything. The results of the shutdown will likely far exceed the results of the virus. Now, it won’t fee that way for those who lost friends, family and loved ones. However, you must step back and look at it from a societal point of view and see if the cure is worse than the curse.

The whole coup attempt by the deep staters has bankrupted many. What needs to happen is for these people to be attacked in civil proceedings and forced to pay their own fees plus those of the people they intentionally harmed. The impeachment fiasco and the deep state’s continual attempted coup of President Trump has made one thing clear: Our founders anticipated such a thing and set up the system to avoid such a thing. Requiring 2/3s of the senate helps ensure the partisans can’t win by themselves.

Once again, the Democrat fascists want to squelch the rights of people they don’t agree with and harm an organization they don’t agree with. However, this time it is different. This time it is the lawyers doing this.

The Committee on Codes of Conduct of the Judicial Conference of the United States proposed a rule (see http://eppc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Guide-Vol02B-Ch02-AdvOp11720OGC-ETH-2020-01-20-EXP-1.pdf) that would allow judges and their clerks to be members of the American Bar Association (ABA), but not members of the conservative Federalist Society or the left-wing American Constitution Society (ACS).  The purported reason for this is that such a membership would cast doubt about a judges impartiality.

The ABA is a left-wing organization that involves itself in politics at every level. They have monopoly control over the legal education in the U.S. with most states deferring to them to determine appropriate legal studies. The Federalist Society (of which I am a former member) does not, and while I’m not familiar with the ACS, I really don’t care if they do or not.

We have a constitutional right to freedom of association. Does the Judicial Conference really believe we the people do not think judges have biases?

We know that it not what is really going on here. The Judicial Conference understands that with Trump’s appointments to the courts it will become more conservative, and they want to kill off any organization that might help inform people into the true understanding of conservative and libertarian principles.
