As you may have heard, the Supreme Court issued an opinion overturning what is known as the Chevron deference. The MSM and Democrats are going crazy as a result of the 6-3 decision. In the dissent, Justice Kagan went after the majority saying this was a power grab by the judicial branch.
Is it?
My perspective is that the decision does nothing but force congress to do its job. If a law is not clear, those who made the law should clarify it, not some government agency. Do you really think that we the people get the benefit of the doubt in that situation? Not a chance.
Realistically, the Court has been ignoring Chevron for the last few years. This decision merely returns to congress what it needs to be doing: making clear and concise law.
