Liberals and Success

Rush had a great point on his program the other day. Successful liberals don’t want others to succeed, and it is a point I have made for years.

You can see this in the progressive nature of their preferred taxing regimes (i.e. progressive taxation) as well as their rhetorical condemnation of success and capitalism. But, do their constituents look at how these people became rich? Or, do those rich liberals get a pass by saying they should be taxed at a higher rate than they currently are?

Education use to be considered a path to success and you needed to be educated on the basics to succeed. However, the past 60 years of liberal domination of the public school system has led to reduced educational requirements and increase social engineering requirements.

The results of the social engineering have been pretty much as anticipated: a reduced educational level on the basics, a less informed electorate, a cultural change that views success as evil, and buy-in that socialism is the path to success for the nation.

History has zero examples of societies succeeding under socialism or communism. Our decline as a country maps nicely to the increase in socialism imbedded in our country. However, the general population is seemingly unaware of those facts.

The dumbing down of society in general helps those liberals attempting to circumvent our constitution and fundamentally change our society away from a success orientation towards the banana republics.

Supreme Court Upholds Obama Care

Today, we learned that the Supreme Court held that Obama care was constitutional based upon the fact it was a tax, an argument the administration said it didn’t agree with.

So, we have the Supreme Court making arguments for the administration to advance the administration’s policy. Anyone besides me see an issue with that?

All I know, is this means war. We need to destroy the political class rob them of all their precision retirement and health benefits they provide themselves with our money. It’s time to destroy that cancer called Washington from the map and start all over.

It’s time to take action folks. Kick every politician out and only elect those who will agree to reduce spending, cut benefits for themselves as members of government and reduce the retirement benefits for all other federal workers.

This represents two separate attacks on WE the people. It’s time to fight back.

Updates later.

NBC: Trayvon Martin call was “mistake, not deliberate”

Reuters has a story in which the president of NBC News says their decision to air the edited version of the Zimmerman 911 was was a mistake, not deliberate. Really?

What is editing of interviews/phone calls, but a deliberate reduction in the volume of data contained in the work being edited. This is further evidence that those supposedly “intelligent” and “professional” members of the MSM, are neither intelligent or professional.

Coming Soon to America

The BBC, Sky News and others are reporting on the riots going on in the UK. Take a good look America, because soon this will be coming to our shores.

You cannot beat into the heads of several generations that their problems, economic issues, and unemployment are due to another segment of the population (i.e. the rich) without repercussions. While Europe is well ahead of us, we have made up ground quickly under Obama and the Democrat’s leadership of congress since 2007.

While Obama promised to unite everyone in the country, his rhetoric, and that of his party, has been anything but unifying. Obama and the Democrats have constantly used the tactics from the Communist Manifesto and Saul Alinsky in an attempt to divide and concur the citizens of the U.S. They succeeded in 2008 and have done exactly what they said they would do: attempt to redistribute wealth from the middle class to the lower class.

However, the policies that were suppose to help the poor have done exactly the opposite and sewn the seeds of discontentment into the middle and lower classes.

America, you reap what you sew.

The Lesson from the Tucson Massacre

Maybe the real lesson from he massacre is that we can’t ever legislate safety.

How many laws does it take to keep guns away from criminals and the mentally infirmed? All that you can pass?

While passing laws may make the politicians feel good about doing something, perhaps, they need to resist the urge next time. Remember, there is nothing that can stop the firm resolve of a person. This can be for the good or the bad.

Maybe citizens will begin to understand that legislation does not solve problems, and they will stop looking towards politicians to solve whatever ails them. People, not legislation, solve their own problems.

States v. Washington, D.C.: Is it time for the divorce?

I’m a devot federalist. I have been since I came of voting age during the Reagan administration. I have firmly believed my whole life that the problem with the country is the concentration of power in Washington. It is there that the complex web or laws, regulations, administrative rules, etc. are enacted upon the people and businesses in the country. It is also there where members of the ruling class exempt themselves from very rules and regulations we must live under. They continue to provide themselves with benefits in excess of the value they deliver to us.

Many of the states are controlled by the same mindset that controls Washington, i.e. we, the government, will provide for all of your needs and wants. However, those of us in the country class know that this enabling cannot continue without severe ramifications to the economy and the American culture.

Our country is built upon the rock of self-reliance. We provide charity to those in need, but this charity is (and should be) provided outside of the control of government. Once the government controls charity and provide the majority of the people the very sustenance required to survive, we will have lost the culture war and the nation.

The current ruling class seems bound and determined to ensure we lose the America we were suppose to be. Due to that, I believe it’s time for a divorce. The only question seems to be: Will this be a peaceful or violent divorce? Either way, I’m in.
